The project works on different and interconnected layers focusing on the creation of a wet landscape that provides integrated functions for both humans and the postindustrial nature of the Gowanus Canal. The GreenCross project speculates on the value of urban development of postindustrial lands with a pedestrian-oriented architecture that either engages with the canal and the surrounding watershed.
