The town of Lentini together with the association Leolab, launched a call for competition to reimagine the centre of the town, which was underused and abandoned. The competition included a 1-week workshop exploring the town together with its inhabitants, analysing its challenges and potentials.

Our design proposal adds new functions and activities to the urban fabric, aiming to reactivate the abandoned area. The traditional semi-enclosed courtyard becomes the core of the design, by creating a system of thematic courts for multiple and common activities. Open spaces with different degrees of privacy and hosting different activities, create a new network integrated in the urban fabric.
